About Naturopathic Medicine

Built upon a long history of natural health traditions and informed by an ever-expanding body of research, naturopathic medicine offers effective treatment that takes into account all aspects of a person’s health.  NDs are licensed as primary health care providers in the state of California. 

The profession is defined by its guiding principles: do no harm; take the time to teach and to answer questions; treat the whole person; address the root cause of an ailment; and support the body’s ability to heal itself.

NDs receive a four-year medical education with training in medical science, conventional diagnostic methods, and a thorough grounding in the philosophy and modalities of holistic health care.

Andrea’s training as an ND and background in the sciences allow her to bridge the gap between conventional and “alternative” medicine.  She is happy to work with other providers as a member of your health care team.
